Taking place at St George’s Bristol on Sunday 29 June 2025 at 6.30pm, and bringing St George’s Festival of Voice to a radiant close, Vocalise features a summery programme of choral music performed by Choir of the Earth and the acclaimed Fitzhardinge Consort, the West of England’s leading professional vocal ensemble.
Monteverdi's Vespers of 1610 - a special edition concert by Choir of the Earth and Fiori Musicali
Experience a groundbreaking digital performance of Monteverdi's Vespers of 1610. This special edition, created by Choir of the Earth in collaboration with Fiori Musicali, blends Fiori's 2011 live recording from Christ Church Oxford with thousands of individually recorded vocal tracks from our global online choir.
Led by Musical Director Ben England, this project marks the first time Monteverdi's iconic work has been taught and performed entirely online, with over 8,000 contributions from singers across 40 countries. This special edition concert also includes a unique a cappella rendition of Nisi Dominus by the global singers of Choir of the Earth.
