✨ Join Bristol Cabot Choir for a Once‑in‑a‑Lifetime Musical Event ✨
Step into history on Saturday 20 June 2026, as Bristol Cabot Choir hosts a special Come & Sing celebration of Vaughan Williams’ The Lark Ascending.
Gather with other singers in the very place where this beloved masterpiece first took flight - Shirehampton Public Hall, the site of its original premiere on 15 December 1920. To sing this work in its birthplace is a rare privilege, and Bristol Cabot Choir are thrilled to bring it to life once again.
Guiding you will be the Choir’s brilliant Musical Director, Ben England BEM, whose energy and musicianship will make this an unforgettable experience, and you will also be joined by the extraordinarily gifted violinist Greta Murmaité, who will embody the spirit of the Lark itself, soaring above the choir with her luminous playing.
All attendees will also receive access to excellent learning videos for each voice part, taught by Ben himself, as well as superb rehearsal tracks for each voice part and full choir, recorded by professional vocal ensemble, Fieri Consort. Learn or revise your part at home and arrive at the event confident and ready to sing!
Whether you’re a seasoned singer or simply someone who loves beautiful music, this is your chance to take part in a truly historic moment.
Don’t miss it - come and let your voice rise with the lark.
