Summer School 2024: August| Learn, sing and record pieces for an Evensong in Finland

Join our Summer School 2024 June course launch on Monday 5 August 2024 at 17:00 UK time. Click 'Watch on YouTube' to open the stream in YouTube and take part in the live chat.

Our popular Summer School is renowned for its diversity of pieces, giving choral singers the opportunity to expand your repertoire and explore unsung territory on your musical journey.

Each ‘mini course’ lasts only two weeks, allowing you to take part while still enjoying everything summer has to offer (or winter for those in the Southern Hemisphere!).

Join Choir of the Earth’s marvellous Musical Director, Ben England BEM, for the final two weeks of our 2024 Summer School - an exciting collaboration with Tapiolan Kamarikuoro and Olarin Kirkko to perform a Finnish twist on a traditional English Evensong Service.

During these two weeks, we will learn, sing and record:

The live teaching for this course will take place on 5-15 August 2024, with a recording deadline in September.

Join the brilliant Ben England BEM for our August Summer School 2024 course launch on Monday 5 August 2024 at 17:00 UK time, which is open to all as a taster of the marvellous music and resources available to our members:

With new members receiving your first month FREE with promo code WELCOME1, these short courses are the perfect introduction to digital choral singing in general and Choir of the Earth in particular. You have nothing to lose and so much to gain:

Ben will then travel to Finland to lead a final performance of these pieces and more with Tapiola Chamber Choir at the beautiful Olari Church. We will screen their performance later in August so we can all sing along! But that’s not all…

…YOU can join Ben and Tapiola Chamber Choir to sing it in person!

We invite those able to join us in Finland on Saturday 24 August 2024 to take part in special come and sing workshops, followed by an opportunity to perform at the Evensong service that evening with Tapiola Chamber Choir, then an informal evening reception and kantele workshop in central Helsinki!
