Choir of the Earth presents Handel's Messiah, Part I - our Christmas concert for 2025

Choir of the Earth - A Christmas concert for 2025 - Messiah, Part I - George Frideric Handel

The link to this concert will appear here closer to the time.

Join us for the world premiere of Part I of Handel’s Messiah, performed and recorded by our global community of singers as part of our course, The Ultimate Messiah. This Christmas concert features a brand new choral recording created especially for 2025.

Alongside our choir’s new performance, we will enjoy the beautiful baroque orchestration and solo lines first recorded for Choir of the Earth in 2020. These feature Carolyn Sampson (Soprano), Jennifer Johnston (Alto), Alexander Sprague (Tenor) and Ashley Riches (Bass), with the baroque orchestra led from the harpsichord by Laurence Cummings.

The Ultimate Messiah was directed by Choir of the Earth Musical Director Ben England, who will also conduct Part I live on-screen during this festive premiere.

Part I of Messiah tells the story of the Nativity - the anticipation of Christ’s birth, the angels’ message to the shepherds, and the promise of peace. It is often enjoyed at Christmas and its music has become a seasonal tradition for many.

This event is open to everyone - those who took part in the course and the wider public alike. We hope you enjoy this wonderful performance!
