This unique experience offers the chance to learn from and perform alongside The Gesualdo Six, culminating in a joint performance of William Byrd’s Mass for Five Voices in magnificent Lincoln Cathedral - where Byrd once served as Master of the Choristers.

About the Trip

Exclusive Collaboration with The Gesualdo Six: A unique opportunity to work closely with one of the world’s finest vocal ensembles, featuring an elite choral workshop, an intimate private performance for attendees, and the chance to sing alongside them in our final concert.
The Concert: A magnificent joint performance with The Gesualdo Six in the Nave of Lincoln Cathedral, bringing our "Digital-to-Cathedral" journey to a spectacular close in the very building where Byrd served as Master of the Choristers.
The Music: A programme featuring some of the greatest highlights of English renaissance choral music. These include not only Byrd’s Mass for Five Voices, but also his Ave Verum Corpus, alongsidemusic by Thomas Tallis and Orlando Gibbons.
Expert Leadership: Intensive in-person rehearsals, musical direction, and an opening night popular and folk sing-along all led by the joyful expertise of Ben England BEM.
Learning Resources: Full access to premium digital teaching videos and rehearsal tracks to provide a thorough musical foundation before we meet in Lincoln.

Accommodation: 3 nights at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln, including a daily buffet breakfast.

Singers Ticket Price: £899 per person (sharing a twin/double room).
Single Supplement: £250 for an upgrade to a private single hotel room.
Non-Singing Travel Companions: We warmly welcome singers to book for a non-singing room mate to join the group and enjoy the full tour itinerary, social events, and accommodation at a reduced rate of £599.

Booking Priority & Timeline
COTE Members: Members of Choir of the Earth will benefit from a one-week exclusive priority booking window before general release. Please check your email inboxes for exclusive early bird discount codes. Begins Friday 24 April at 11:00am.
General Release: Remaining places will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis from Friday 1 May at 11:00am.
Places available: Maximum 150 singers plus up to 20 non-singing travel companions. Alto bookings limited to 45.

Booking your place for our Lincoln odyssey is a straightforward process handled through our Zeffy platform. Please follow these steps to secure your place:
Select Your Ticket: Start by adding a standard £899 Singer ticket to your basket. Even if you intend to book a non-residential place or pay in installments, please also begin with this standard ticket.
Optional Single Room or Travel Companion: Add either a Single room supplement or a Non-singing participant ticket if desired.
Apply Your Discount Code: Once you proceed to the next page (the checkout screen), you will see a field to enter a discount code. Applying the relevant code here will automatically adjust the total price of your booking:
COTE members-only early bird discount codes have been sent to all COTE members and associates, please check your email inboxes.
Non-Residential Places: If you do not require hotel accommodation, enter the code LOCAL24 (or exclusive COTE members’ equivalent) to reduce the price to £689.
Paying in Installments: If you would prefer to split your payment into two equal instalments, enter the code SPLIT50. This will reduce your initial payment by 50%. We will then contact you later in the year to arrange the final balance payment; £10 admin fee applies.
Adjust the Zeffy Contribution: To ensure 100% of your fee goes to the event, Zeffy gives you the option to support their fee-free platform for non-profits. In the summary section, click the dropdown menu next to the suggested contribution. Select 'Other' to enter any amount you choose. See image below.
