Course Launch: Bach Cantatas

Cantatas by J S Bach: March 2026

The link to the course launch will appear here closer to the time. In the meantime please click the image above to discover more about this course.

Join Choir of the Earth for the launch of our next course to learn, sing and record two of Bach’s most beloved cantatas: Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme (BWV 140) and Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben (BWV 147).

These glorious Baroque works explore themes of watchfulness, joy and faith. They include some of the best-known chorales in all of classical music – including the melody many will know as Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.

At our course launch, you’ll meet our Musical Director, Ben England, who will introduce the music, explain how the course will work, and share how we will bring these magnificent works to life together online.
