Choir of the Earth is thrilled to announce an exciting and environmentally-friendly new endeavour - Concerts of the Earth - bringing live and interactive concerts from sensational professional artists to a global at-home audience.

In a live statement now watched over 2,000 times, the Founder of The Self-Isolation Choir, Mark Strachan, has unveiled an innovative future vision for the choir, including a new name and the launch of an inaugural Festival of Choral Music.

Today at 7pm BST, Tenebrae Choir’s award-winning Founder and Artistic Director Nigel Short will launch an online course to teach all 40 parts of Tallis’s Spem in Alium to more than 500 members of SIC - Choir of the Earth.

On Friday 16 July at 19:00 BST, The Self-Isolation Choir’s Founder, Mark Strachan, will livestream a momentous statement about the vibrant and exciting future of online choral singing.

On Thursday 10 June, The Self-Isolation Choir (SIC) will be truly honoured to present Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with its performance of the late Prince Philip’s favourite hymn, ‘Eternal Father, Strong To Save’, to mark what would have been his 100th birthday.

The Self-Isolation Choir is honoured to partner with The Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) to perform the world premiere of its 2021 Music Sunday anthem, God Of All Creation by Chris Totney.

The Self-Isolation Choir is inviting members of the public from all around the world to take part in a free singing project and will present the final recording to Her Majesty The Queen in memory of HRH Prince Philip on 10th June, when he would have been 100 years old.

The world premiere of the Self-Isolation Choir’s production of Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection” by Gustav Mahler will take place on 14 November 2020 at 19:30 GMT.⁣
