The Self-Isolation Choir is absolutely delighted that our marvellous Musical Director Ben England has been awarded the British Empire Medal by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in today’s Birthday Honours List.

Ben receives his medal in recognition of his contribution during the Covid-19 pandemic, for services to the community.

Ben’s work pioneering online choirs, including SIC and Homechoir, has provided a safe haven for those in the world of choral singing and brought joy to many at a time of global crisis.
