Haydn's "Nelson" Mass Concert Performance

The YouTube link to the premiere of this concert performance will follow shortly

On Friday 27 September 2024 at 17:00 UK time, we are thrilled to invite you to enjoy Choir of the Earth’s concert performance of Joseph Haydn’s “Nelson” Mass (Missa in Angustiis).

In early 2024, singers from around the world learned and rehearsed this extraordinary choral masterpiece under the guidance of our Musical Director, Ben England. Our singers then recorded their individual voices at home, which have been expertly mixed by our audio engineers to create this unique, international choral performance.

In this concert, you will hear the combined voices of our global choir, accompanied by the organ, beautifully recorded by Richard Gowers, and soloists from the fantastic Fieri Consort. Together, we bring to life Haydn’s “Nelson” Mass, a powerful work composed in 1798 during a time of great turmoil, and one often considered to be Joseph Haydn’s greatest composition.

We hope you enjoy this special concert - a true celebration of music’s ability to unite and inspire across time and distance.

We would be so grateful if you might please consider making a small donation to support Earth Choir Academy. As a non-profit music education organisation, every contribution directly invests in our future, allowing us to continue inspiring, empowering and educating singers worldwide.

If you’d like to sing with us, we would love to welcome you to our global choral family - please join us here.
