Course Launch: Summer School 2026: July - August (African Arrangements)

Summer School 2026 July - August: Ndikhokhele Bawo (arranged by Barrett) and other African spirituals

The link to the course launch will appear here closer to the time. In the meantime please click the image above to discover more about this course.

Join Choir of the Earth for the launch of the second of our Summer School 2026 courses, where we will learn and record a selection of African choral arrangements – including Michael Barrett’s beautiful setting of Ndikhokhele Bawo.

This follows the huge popularity of his arrangement of Indodana, sung by Choir of the Earth during Summer School 2023 and again at our Summer School LIVE concert in Bristol in June 2025.

The full line-up of pieces for this 3-week course will be confirmed nearer the time, but you can expect music full of warmth, heart and emotional power. At the course launch, Ben England will tell you more about the music we will be learning, our approach to African choral traditions, and how the course will work.
