On Friday 28 June 2024, we announced that we have reopened recordings for our Hall of Fame-topping anthem, Quanta Qualia by Patrick Hawes, and that absolutely everybody is invited to join in this short project.

Choir of the Earth has a rich history with the beautiful Quanta Qualia. We have so far produced two renditions, the first of which has featured on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, and it has topped our Hall of Fame in both 2023 and 2024.

We receive lots of requests to reopen recordings, from singers who missed the previous opportunities to learn, sing and record it, and from singers whose voice has developed through singing with us since they last recorded it and want to give it another try.

We are therefore delighted to launch Quanta Qualia 3 and hope that lots of singers will take part, either again or for the first time.
