Mahler’s Eighth Symphony with Bergen Philharmonic - new course launches today!
Join us today at 17:00 GMT on Choir of the Earth's YouTube channel for the live launch of our newest course: Mahler's monumental Symphony No. 8, also known as the “Symphony of a Thousand”.
This special event, hosted by our Musical Director, Ben England, will introduce you to this phenomenal course, explain how it will work, and give you a chance to “meet” the team and connect with fellow singers around the world.
For many choral singers, Mahler's Eighth is a rare and extraordinary opportunity. Most choirs don’t have the resources to take on a piece of this size, with its vast vocal and orchestral requirements. With Choir of the Earth, you now have the unique chance to learn, sing, and record this masterwork alongside a critically acclaimed performance by the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Edward Gardner OBE.
Ben will guide you through Mahler’s complex choral lines, using the latest techniques and technology honed over five years of intensive online choral teaching. Every member’s voice will be added to the Bergen Philharmonic’s award-winning performance, creating an unparalleled blend of live concert and global choral community.
