HARMONIEMESSE
BY JOSEPH HAYDN

Welcome to the course resource page for our course to learn, sing and record the Harmoniemesse (‘Harmony Mass’) by Joseph Haydn.

We started learning this exciting choral work on Monday 20 January 2025 and will continue into mid-March 2025, with a week’s break in mid-February.

Everything you need for this course will be made available on this webpage. Enjoy!

SCORE

This score is Mass No. 14 in Bb Major (Harmoniemesse) by Franz Joseph Haydn, No.3538 published by Edition Peters, edited by Georg Göhler. This is the score used by Fieri Consort and Richard Gowers to create our rehearsal tracks.

It is no longer in print, although a small number of used copies might be available, e.g. through Abe Books or eBay.

For singers who prefer to use a paper score, we recommend having a copy of the PDF printed and bound by a local copy shop, a stationery store like Staples, or an online service like PrintPond (UK), Print Me 1 (US and Canada) or other similar websites.

Please note we are listing these businesses as examples and do not accept any responsibility for issues you may experience if you choose to order with them.

SOUNDSLICE LIVING SCORES

We are delighted to share the following Soundslice ‘living scores’ resources with current COTE Members, to support your learning of Haydn’s Harmoniemesse.

We are working on a wide range of living scores to go on sale via our upcoming Soundslice store, but we will also be endeavouring to produce resources for as many of our future courses as we can, and using them during the learning and recording process will be part of Choir of the Earth’s many privileges and perks of membership.

These early versions are not available to the public at present, so it’s absolutely essential that these pre-release links are not shared outside of the choir - they are for current members only.

These resources will be deactivated once the recording window is closed and will be converted into paid-for resources that will go on sale to the world via the Soundslice store. Read more about Soundslice here.

Huge thanks to Ben, Susanna, Emma and Karen, for their hard work on these resources.

CONDUCTING VIDEOS

The rest of the Conducting Videos will be made available as the course progresses.
